Design for Cycling Route to be Presented

(Monday, October 15, 2001)-- Streets For Cycling, an active transportation pilot project of HRM Traffic and Transportation Services, will hold an open house this week to present design recommendations re: bicycle commuting along the proposed Vernon/Seymour Streets cycling route, from Quinpool Road to University Avenue.

Design recommendations for key areas on the route will be presented, including changes to traffic signals and intersection realignment. Comments from the cycling community and the community at large will be appreciated.

Parking for cyclists is available at the main entrance, and there is a parking lot for cars opposite the Dal Student Union Building on University Avenue, Halifax.
