Businesses May Establish New Commission
(Wednesday, March 27/2002)-- There will be a meeting this evening of businesses located in the Gottingen Street area to discuss establishing a Central Halifax Business Commission.
The meeting will be held at the George Dixon Centre on Brunswick Street, beginning at 7 p.m.
District 12 Councillor Dawn Sloane said "The revitalization of the northern part of District 12 is becoming more noticeable with the opening of several small businesses over the past year-and-a-half. Gottingen Street is part of the Capital District area and the new vibrancy on the street has made the need for a business commission a key piece to the renaissance of the area.
