Time Change
(Thursday, June 27/2002)-- The time of the official launch of the region's newest FM community radio station has been re-scheduled for later today.
Due to an unexpected change in Mayor Kelly's schedule today, the photo-op for the launch has been re-scheduled to 2:30 p.m.-- rather than the 12 noon time slot previously set.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause media outlets.
Halifax Information Radio FM 97.9 is designed to provide a variety of local information to both visitors and the residents of Halifax Regional Municipality.
Mayor Kelly will be recording a Message of Welcome to visitors which will be broadcast on the new station. The message will be recorded on a computer remote at City Hall and be sent directly to, and inserted in the program log, of the station's computer centre.
The event will take place in the Corporate Communications Office, Main Floor, City Hall.
