Summerfest at George Dixon Centre
(Friday, July 19/2002)-- The North End Council of Churches is sponsoring a Summerfest at the George Dixon Centre, 2502 Brunswick Street, Halifax, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, July 20th).
District 12 Councillor Dawn Sloane said "Sponsored by the Council of Churches and HRM's Parks and Recreation Services, this is a wonderful event for the community to attend. I believe that it highlights the community pride within our Central Halifax area"
Admission to the Summerfest is free, and a dunk tank, face painting and a barbeque are among the featured events.
