HRM Doubles Tree Branch Limit Due to Storm

(Thursday, November 14/2002)-- The storm of November 7th brought down a large number of trees and branches throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality.

To assist residents with removal, the regular limit of two bundles of tied branches has been increased to four bundles until Dec.6th.

Residents are reminded that bundles are not to exceed four feet in length, eight inches in diameter, and should be placed beside their green cart for same-day collection.

Fallen trees and branches on private property are the responsibility of the property owner.

Residents may report HRM-owned tree damage by calling 490-4000.
