HRM Publishes Interactive Family Adventure Trails Guide
(Monday, December 9/2002)-- Halifax Regional Municipality and the Nova Scotia Sport and Recreation Commission will launch Earth Adventures in the Halifax Region this week,- a first-of-its-kind guidebook highlighting 25 trails throughout HRM.
Hosted by the Halifax Regional Municipality, the event will be attended by Mayor Peter Kelly, Chief Administrative Officer George McLellan, and Deputy Head and CEO of Nova Scotia Sport and Recreation Commission, Tony Martin.
Authors Janet Barlow, Alan Warner and George Taylor, along with illustrator Lois Bearden, will be on hand to sign books. There will also be interactive displays of adventures included in the guidebook, information displays on earth education, and refreshments.
