Public Hearing on Proposed New Housing Development
(Friday, January 31/2003)-- A public hearing on an application by Kimberley-Lloyd Development for rezoning and a development agreement to permit a proposed housing development at Governor's Brook, in the Spryfield area, is scheduled for Monday, February 3, 2003.
Chebucto Community Council will hear presentations in the cafeteria of the new Halifax West High School, 283 Thomas Raddall Drive, beginning at 7 p.m. The meeting had previously been scheduled for the Keshen Goodman Library on Lacewood Drive.
Councillor Linda Mosher, Chair of the Chebucto Community Council, said the change of venue for the meeting is to accommodate the large number of citizens expected to attend the public hearing. The high school cafeteria will hold 600-800 people, compared to only 60-80 people in the meeting room at the Keshen Goodman Library.
NOTE: A map showing directions to the Halifax West High School cafeteria will be posted at the Keshen Goodman Library entrance and bus service will be provided from the library parking lot to the high school for individuals travelling to the hearing by Metro Transit service.
