Winter Parking Ban Lifted in Urban Core
(Monday, March 31/2003)-- The Overnight Winter Parking Ban in the urban core of the Halifax Regional Municipality was lifted at 6:30 a.m. this morning.
The Nova Scotia Department of Transportation's overnight winter parking ban for areas outside the core was scheduled to be lifted at 7 a.m. this morning.
However, motorists are reminded that in the event of snow or ice conditions occurring after the ban has been lifted, Section 139 of the provincial Motor Vehicle Act provides that parked vehicles obstructing snow removal operations may be towed at anytime.
