Hansen Information Technologies CEO to Visit HRM
(Tuesday, April 22/2003)-- Did you ever wonder how the Halifax Regional Municipality keeps track ands deals with the more than 1,000,000 comments and requests it receives from residents each year?
HRM has implemented a system developed by Hansen Information Technologies that routes citizen requests to the appropriate business unit to record, track and resolve. It shows where the request is in the system and provides accountability in assuring the issue is properly dealt with and resolved.
The Land Management module of the system focuses on receiving and processing both construction and subdivision approval and eventually, will include tracking Code enforcement and all planning -related applications, such as rezoning and subdivision approvals.
Chuck Hansen, president and CEO of Hansen Information Technologies, will be in Halifax on Thursday, April 24th, and both he and George McLellan, HRM's Chief Administrative Officer, will make presentations to senior staff and the media about the new system's progress and how it is impacting on HRM's commitment to improved customer service.
When: Thursday, April 24, 2003
Time: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Halifax Hall, Main Level, City Hall, 1841 Argyle Street,
