Construction to Begin on New $3 million Complex

(Thursday, May 22/2003)-- Mayor Peter Kelly and members of Halifax Regional Council will attend the official sod-turning ceremony for the new $3 million Beaver Bank-Kinsac Community Complex next week.

Councillor Brad Johns (District 19-Upper Sackville-Beaver Bank); Chief Mike Eddy, of the Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency Service; Chief Gordon West, of the Beaver Bank-Kinsac Volunteer Fire Department; and Brian Johnson, Chair of the Beaver Bank-Kinsac Community Centre Committee, will be among the special guests.

The new multi-million dollar facility will include a new fire hall and community centre.

Where: Site of Kinsac Fire Hall, intersection of Kinsac Road and Beaver Bank Road
