Motorists Urged to Avoid Construction Area
(Wednesday, August 13/2003)-- Halifax Regional Municipality is undertaking a traffic signal upgrade at the intersection of Bedford Highway and the Hammonds Plains Road.
Tentative completion of the work is scheduled for October 31, 2003.
In addition, the Halifax Regional Water Commission will be installing a new water main on Hammonds Plains Road, from the Bedford Highway to the Bedford Hills Road. The anticipated completion of this work is also October 31st.
Motorists are advised to avoid this section of the Hammonds Plains Road, if possible, while the traffic signal upgrade and the water main construction are taking place.
