Parents, Children Urged to Be Careful in Construction Zones
(Tuesday, September 2/2003)-- Tomorrow is the first day of school for the 2003/2004 academic year and HRM reminds all parents and children to be attentive and mindful when walking to and from school where construction activity is taking place.
HRM has alerted all of its contractors to be extra attentive when working in areas close to schools or along school routes.
Motorists are also reminded to drive carefully in school zones and not to pass a stopped school bus when its red lights are flashing.
