H.R.M. Water Advisory
(Monday, September 29, 2003, 7:00am) Due to the heavy rainfall conditions overnight and the power outage throughout Halifax Regional Municipality, many H.R.M. pumping stations and sewage treatment plants may not be functioning as they should.
Therefore, residents of H.R.M. are advised to avoid contact with any water courses, lakes or ponds located near a sewage system. More importantly, if their water source is located near a lake or other water course that is near a sewage system, they are advised not to drink water from that source until further notice.
H.R.M. will advise residents of further developments as they occur.
