Update - HRM Branch Collection Program
HRM will be announcing a program where residents can take their tree debris to the curbside to be disposed of over the coming days.
Residents can take branches and limbs and pile them at curbside for collection. Please limit them to 8 foot lengths. Stumps and logs should be kept to 4 foot lengths. Crews will be picking up the debris as they are able during the street clearing process.
Canadian Food Inspection agency requires softwood to be kept separate to control the spread of the brown spruce long horn beetle. Residents are asked to assist by keeping softwood (fir, spruce, pine) in a separate pile for later collection.
