Temporary Overnight Parking Restrictions to be Imposed

(Friday, October 10, 2003) Please be advised that the Deputy Traffic Authority has issued a Temporary Parking Ban beginning Monday October, 13th in the area bounded by Robie Street, Coburg Road, and the Northwest Arm.

This is as a result of extensive damage to street trees and infrastructure caused by Hurricane Juan. Certain areas of HRM require temporary on-street parking restrictions in order to expedite clean-up operations.

No person shall park un unattended vehicle upon any street in Halifax bounded by the Robie Street, Coburg Road and the Northwest Arm between the following hours:

11 p.m. October 13, 2003 to 7 a.m. October 14, 2003
11 p.m. October 14, 2003 to 7 a.m. October 15, 2003
11 p.m. October 15, 2003 to 7 a.m. October 16, 2003

It will be an offence for any person to fail to comply with these regulations and motor vehicles left unattended will be subject to removal at the owner's cost.

HRM apologizes for any inconvenience to residents in this area as a result of the temporary ban.
