District 8 Residents Urged to Attend Town Hall Meeting
(Friday, October 24/2003)-- Councillor Bruce Hetherington is urging residents of District 8 (Woodside) to attend a Town Hall meeting in the area on Monday evening to discuss public safety issues.
The meeting is one of several being hosted throughout the urban core area by Chief Frank Beazley, of the Halifax Regional Police Service, to listen first-hand to the concerns of residents regarding policing in the community.
Councillor Hetherington said public safety has always been among the top concerns of area residents and the Town Hall meeting format allows members of the public to meet and chat personally with Chief Beazley and his senior management officers.
