HRM Urges Caution This Hallowe'en
(Thursday, October 30/2003)-- Halifax Regional Municipality urges motorists to exercise extra caution and watch out for children crossing, or walking along the roadside, this Hallowe'en ( Friday, October 31st).
Also, property owners are urged to hose down or dampen any remaining storm debris left at curbside or roadside in front of /on their property to discourage vandals from attempting to set the debris on fire.
Homeowners with fallen or damaged trees remaining on their property should ensure there is a safe, clear path for trick or treaters to walk from the street/road to their doorstep.
In the event of rain, residents should ensure that catch basins or storm drains in front of /or abutting their property are free from leaves and other debris to prevent local flooding.
Halifax Regional Police will have extra patrols out this Hallowe'en to ensure everyone has a safe Hallowe'en.
