Notice of Construction
Dexter Harbour Solutions is continuing construction of the Halifax Harbour Solutions Project of Halifax Regional Municipality.
A section of the sewage collection system runs along Inglis Street from Barrington Street to Young Avenue. Construction of this portion of the work will begin during the week of November 27th and be complete by December 19, 2003 for the season.
The new pipeline runs down the south side of the street which means residents on this side will experience short term disruption of municipal services, (water service, storm and sanitary sewers). Disruptions are expected to be less than one day. The shoring system being used for the construction of the pipeline will mean access to driveways on the south side will be blocked at times. Disruptions will be as short as possible. The current portion of the street being worked on will be narrowed to one-way traffic. Traffic control personnel will ensure smooth traffic flow. On-site personnel will maintain communication with local residents to provide current notice of service disruption and to help minimize impacts.
