HRM to Celebrate Heritage Day
(Thursday, February 12/2004)-- As part of Heritage day celebrations next Monday (February 16th), Mayor Peter Kelly and members of Halifax Regional Council will host a reception for registered heritage property owners who participate in HRM's Heritage Incentive Program.
The event, sponsored by Recreation, Tourism and Culture, is in keeping with the Action Plan for Heritage Incentives, presented to Council last March. Planning and Development staff will also be attending the reception.
"This will be an excellent opportunity for the heritage property owners to meet informally with Council and HRM staff, who work in partnership with them to preserve heritage buildings," said Mayor Peter Kelly.
