Council Encourages Mooseheads, Metro Centre to Resume Talks
(Tuesday, August 31/2004) -- Mayor Peter Kelly, following an In-Camera Council meeting at City Hall this afternoon, issued the following statement on behalf of Halifax Regional Council.
"In the opinion of Halifax Regional Council, the Metro Centre is the appropriate facility for the Mooseheads hockey team in Halifax, and Council encourages the Mooseheads organization and the Trade Centre Limited to resume negotiations to have the Mooseheads return to the Metro Centre as soon as possible."
