Accessibility info.(Monday, December 27, 2004, 6:30 p.m.) All Metro Transit bus service, including Access-A-Bus service, will remain off the road until the beginning of the service day on Tuesday, December 28th, due to the continued poor visibility as the result of the winter storm.
The Alderney ferry will continue to operate on half hour service until the end of its regularly scheduled service at 12 midnight.
All dialysis appointments for Access-a-Bus passengers have been rescheduled for tomorrow.
Metro Transit temporarily discontinued its service beginning at 2 p.m. this afternoon, under the advisement of Halifax Regional Police, when the heavy winds and blowing snow did not abate as expected.
All transit operations staff are requested to report to work for the morning at their regular times.
For further transit updates, passengers may check the HRM website or call the HRM Call Centre at 490-4000 until 8 p.m. tonight and beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
All media outlets will be advised early in the morning if the transit service is not being restored as planned.
