See what HRM could look like in 25 years
(Monday, December 6, 2004)--
Halifax Regional Council will hear the proposed Regional Plan on
Tuesday, December 7, 2004.
The proposed plan offers a detailed strategy for how HRM could accommodate
up to 100,000 additional residents over the next 25 years.
The approach being recommended is a balanced, integrated approach
to growth in HRM and will have positive results for all areas of
HRM – rural, suburban and urban. It focusses on a future of
protected natural areas; effective public transit; mixed-use communities;
and a globally-competitive economy.
