PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
SNOW CLEARING OPERATIONS
(Tuesday, December 28/04)-- Snow clearing operations are continuing throughout HRM following Monday's blizzard, so motorists are reminded to park their vehicles off-street.
It is an offence under Section 139 of the provincial Motor Vehicle Act for motorists to park their vehciles on streets and roads while snow clearing operations remain in effect.
The provincial Overnight Winter Parking Ban is in effect in areas outside the Urban Core (on streets and roads plowed by the N.S. Department of Transportation and Public Works)
It is expected that the HRM Overnight Winter Parking Ban will go into effect in the next day or so in the Urban Core area (street and roads plowed by HRM Public Works.)
