PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Snow Storm Update - November 13, 2004
(Saturday, November 13,
2004) - Portions of Burnside Industrial Park will be closed to traffic
today, due to downed main power transmissions lines through the
middle of the park. Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays.
HRM urges motorists to avoid travel through Burnside Industrial
Park, if possible, throughout today.
The following restrictions will apply:
1. No thoroughfare on Akerley Blvd. from Windmill Road to Isner
Ave.
2. No thoroughfare on Wright Ave.
3. Halifax Regional Police will be doing traffic control at strategic
points due to traffic lights not functioning. Any intersection without
functioning signal lights is to be treated as a four-way stop.
4. Employees should contact their immediate supervisor to learn
whether their employer will be open for business today.
