Voter Notification
(Wednesday, September
22, 2004)-- The Municipal Elections Office will begin sending Voter
Notification letters to residents of HRM on Monday, September 27,
2004. Voter Notifications will contain your District number as well
as your polling location and will be sent to the unique last name
in each household.
For example, if Mr. and Mrs. Smith and their three- voting age children
reside in the same household, only one card will be sent to that
household. However, it will include the names of all of the eligible
voters in that household with the same last name of "Smith".
If another person(s) with a different surname(s) resides in the
same household, he/she will receive a separate Voter Notification
letter.
Residents may obtain more information about matters related to the
October 16, 2004 municipal election by contacting the Municipal
Clerk’s Office at 476-8683 (HRM-VOTE).
