Downtown Halifax Road Construction

(Thursday, May 19, 2005) - Beginning on or about Wednesday, May 25th, construction related to the Harbour Solutions - Source Separation Project will necessitate the closure of Terminal Rd. from Hollis St. to Lower Water St. The expected duration of construction is approximately 3 weeks.
Construction activity will take place Monday to Friday from 7 A.M. to 6 P.M., with some weekend work as required.

Sidewalks in the work area will remain open. Motorists are advised that parking zones in the work area will be closed. Motorists and truck traffic are asked to use alternate routing.

Traffic control personnel from Dexter Harbour Solutions will be on-site to assist motorists and ensure safe, timely traffic movement and provide alternate routing information. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize impacts.
This work will separate storm and sanitary sewers, which are currently combined, to provide environmental enhancements.

We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary construction may cause.
