Downtown Halifax Road Construction

(Tuesday, June 14, 2005) - Beginning Thursday, June 16th, construction related to the Harbour Solutions Project will necessitate the closure of a portion of Upper Water Street near the front of the Casino Nova Scotia.

During the two week construction period a detour will be constructed from near the front of Casino Nova Scotia to the intersection of Barrington and Upper Water Streets. The detour will allow for the continued flow of two lane, two way traffic during the construction. A stop sign for traffic traveling north will be placed at the top of the detour, mirroring the existing intersection.

This work will allow for the installation of a section of the outfall pipe from the Halifax Wastewater Treatment Plant.
