Albro Lake Beach Closed to Swimmers

(Monday, July 25/05)-- The HRM-supervised portion of Albro Lake in Dartmouth is currently closed to the public due to water quality problems. Those enrolled in swimming classes there are advised that lessons have been moved to Birch Cove beach.

Regular testing at the beach showed high bacteria levels in the lake water. “No Swimming” signs have been posted and Beach Program staff will remain on duty during regular hours to advise the public of the closure.

HRM thanks the public for its cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience.
