Albro Lake Beach Re-Opened

(Tuesday, July 26/05)-- The HRM-supervised portion of Albro Lake in Dartmouth has been re-opened to swimmers. The beach had been closed due to water quality problems.

HRM’s 23 supervised beaches are tested weekly by the Nova Scotia Department of the Environment for water quality.

Should the presence of bacteria exceed acceptable levels at any lake, “No Swimming” signs are posted and HRM Beach Program staff remain on duty during regular hours to advise the public of the closure.

HRM thanks the public for its cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience.
