“One-tonne Challenge”

Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency accepts challenge to reduce Green House Gases

(Wednesday, July 27, 2005 ) - Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency is taking part in the “One-tonne Challenge” to reduce Green House Gas Emissions.

There are forty community challenges taking place across Canada. Each workshop is one hour in length, and discusses ways to reduce green house gases by; reducing electricity usage, driving less, using less water, and creating less waste.

“One-tonne Challenge” workshops will be conducted on August 3rd at the following places and times. Media are invited to attend.
