Downtown Halifax Road Construction

Friday, August 26, 2005 - On or about Monday August 29, 2005, construction related to the Harbour Solutions Project will necessitate the narrowing of a portion of the sidewalk on Lower Water Street in front of the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic.The expected duration of construction is three weeks. Two lane, two way traffic will be maintained at all times during this work except during the installation of safety barriers to surround the work zone. For this brief time period single lane stop and go traffic will be required.
The hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 7 A.M. to 6 P.M., with some weekend work as required.
Experienced traffic control personnel will ensure smooth traffic flow. On site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize impacts.
