Penhorn Lake Beach Closed to Swimmers

(Tuesday, August 30/05)-- The HRM-supervised portion of Penhorn Lake in Dartmouth is currently closed to the public due to water quality problems.

Regular testing at the beach showed high bacteria levels in the lake water. “No Swimming” signs have been posted.

Please Note: Today is the final day for lifeguards to be on duty at all HRM supervised beaches.

HRM thanks the public for its cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience.
