Barrington Street Road Construction

Friday, September 16, 2005 - Motorists are advised that Harbour Solutions Project related construction is continuing at the intersection of Barrington and Duffus Streets.

While two lanes of traffic will be maintained on Barrington St., motorists should expect delays. Vehicles traveling east on Duffus St. will not be permitted to make left turns onto Barrington St. Only right hand turns will be permitted for traffic heading south on Barrington St..

The duration of construction is approximately 4 weeks. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 7 A.M. to 6 P.M., with some weekend work as required.

As part of related work, construction is also underway at the intersection of Barrington and Hanover Streets.

This will require a narrowing of the north and south bound lanes on Barrington St. to 1 lane stop and go traffic. Access to Hanover St. will be maintained. In order to minimize traffic impacts, this work will take place from 6Pm - 7am, Sunday - Thursday. The duration of construction is approximately 4 weeks.

Experienced traffic control personnel at both work locations will ensure smooth traffic flow. On site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize impacts.

We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary Harbour Solutions Project work may cause.
