Point Pleasant Park International Design Competition

(Wednesday, September 28,2005) - The winner of the Stage Two submissions of the five finalists in the Point Pleasant Park International Design Competition will be announced and on display to the public from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sunday, October 2, in the Courtside Lounge, The Tower, Saint Mary's University.

The jury will be on hand to explain how the winner was chosen. Members of the competition Steering Committee, members of the local Technical Advisory Review Team and HRM staff will also be in attendance.

The five finalists were selected from 26 original entries and, in Stage Two of the competition, received instructions to develop and refine their proposals to meet the requirements of the park and the needs of the people of HRM.

The competition is sponsored by HRM and Southwest Properties Ltd and its purpose is to produce a master plan that will guide the regeneration, restoration and renewal of Point Pleasant Park for many years to come.
