Students and Staff at Bell Park Academic Centre Help HRM Launch Reduced Idling Program

(Friday, October 21, 2005) Students and staff at Bell Park Academic Centre in Lake Echo will be assisting HRM in launching its reduced idling program known as “Ladies and Gentlemen: Stop Your Engines” on Monday, October 24, 2005, at the school. HRM is asking for everyone’s help in curbing unnecessary vehicle idling to help reduce greenhouse gases and improve local air quality. Mayor Peter Kelly, Councillor David Hendsbee, school officials and students will participate in the event.
