Downtown Halifax Road Construction

(Friday, October 28, 2005) - Attention motorists, Harbour Solutions-Source Separation work will necessitate the continued closure of Grafton St. between Prince and Carmichael Streets.

During the first phase of this construction, there will be local traffic only access to Grafton St. from Prince St. Traffic on Carmichael St. will be reduced to single stop and go at the intersection of Grafton and Carmichael Streets.
Sidewalks will remain open at all times.

The duration of construction is approximately 5 weeks.
The hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 7 A.M. to 6 P.M., with some weekend work as required.

Experienced traffic control personnel will ensure smooth traffic flow. On site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize impacts.

This project will separate storm and sanitary sewers, which are currently combined, to provide environmental enhancements. In some areas, new watermains will be installed at the same time.

We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary Harbour Solutions-Source Separation work may cause.
