Free Parking for Veterans at HRM Meters

(Wednesday, January 25/06)-- Just a reminder that veterans can park at HRM parking meters at no cost until March 31, 2006.

Regional Council unanimously approved a motion last September to provide free parking at municipal meters for vehicles bearing a provincially-issued veteran’s license plate for the remainder of 2005 and until March 31 this year.

This action was taken in recognition of the Year of the Veteran in 2005.
