(Thursday, February 16/06)-- A quick-thinking response early this morning by an HRM Parking Enforcement Officer is being credited with preventing injury and/or loss of life in a house fire overnight in Halifax.
Commissionaire Bob Lamb came upon a house on Allan Street on fire, while on patrol for Winter Overnight Parking Ban violators. He quickly alerted the residents in the house--as well as those in the houses on either side. All got out safely.
Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency Services intends to recognize Comm. Lamb’s efforts with a special commendation.
