Interim Tax Bills To be Mailed Out Next Week

(Wednesday, March 8/06)- 2006 Interim Tax Bills are due to be mailed out to residents, beginning Monday, March 13, 2006. The bills are to be released over a five-day period between March 13th and March 17th.

Approximately 87,200 bills will be sent directly to property owners, while 56,900 will be sent to mortgage companies for payment. If property owners do not receive their tax bill by March 31st, they are requested to call the HRM Corporate Call Centre at 490-4000.

The interim bill due date is Friday, April 28, 2006. All Customer Service Centres will have extended store hours until 5:30 on Thursday April 27/06 and Friday April 28/06.
