New Shore Drive Bridge Re-Opens to Traffic at End of Month

(Wednesday, March 8/06)-- Due to cold weather construction delays, the new Shore Drive bridge in Bedford is now expected to be open for traffic on Friday, March 31, 2006.

HRM's contractor is expected to complete the final pouring of the concrete on the bridge deck today . Following this, a two-week curing period is required before the placement of the asphalt surface. As a result, the bridge will remain closed to traffic until placement of the asphalt surface is completed.
