Litter Prevention & Education Campaign

(Monday, April 3, 2006) - On Wednesday, April 5, Mayor Peter Kelly and the Resource Recovery Fund Board will launch the 2006 Litter Prevention & Education Campaign. The campaign will enhance awareness of the financial and environmental impact of littering and promote the message that littering is socially unacceptable.

The campaign theme is Can You Afford to Litter? – Slam Dunk Your Junk!

In addition to revealing the new advertising and communications campaign, the Mayor will publicly recognize a notable citizen for his efforts in the fight against litter in HRM.
