Construction Work to Result in Temporary Street Closure

(Wednesday, April 12/06)-- Motorists are advised that beginning Tuesday, April 18, 2006, the existing 300 mm concrete sewer pipe from the existing manhole on Dundas Street to the existing manhole in front of Civic #140 Portland Street will be replaced. As a result, this section of street will be closed for approximately one week to vehicular traffic to complete the replacement.

Following this work, there will be new concrete paver/sidewalk, concrete curb and gutter and asphalt renewal on Portland Street, from Wentworth Street to Dundas Street. The existing granite curb will be reinstated where possible. Pedestrian traffic will be maintained at all times throughout the entire construction period.
