National Drowning Prevention Week

(Wednesday, July 19/06)-- HRM Beach Services, in conjunction with the Lifesaving Society, will be holding two special events--- Drowning Prevention Days-- at two local beaches this week to highlight water safety.

HRM beaches staff will be promoting safe water activities, conducting demonstrations of drowning rescues, various activities with children and youth, as well as holding public education and information sessions.
