Lake Echo Beach Re-Opened to Swimmers

(Monday, July 24/06) - The HRM-supervised portion of Lake Echo Beach has been re-opened to the public for swimming.

The beach was closed recently due to seasonal water quality problems.

Water quality at HRM’s supervised beaches is tested regularly by the Nova Scotia Department of the Environment.

All HRM-supervised beaches are now opened to the public for swimming.

For further information on HRM Beach conditions, the public can call 490-5458.
