Dartmouth Road Construction

(Thursday, August 3/06) - Attention motorists, Heritage Gas, in conjunction with their contractor, Robert B. Somerville, will be installing a natural gas pipeline in Dartmouth, from Pine Street to Thornhill Drive. The work is scheduled to get underway on or after Tuesday, August 8, 2006.

Construction will consist of installing a 10-inch diameter steel and plastic natural gas pipeline beginning at Pine Street and working towards Thornhill Drive.

The gas pipeline route is along Pine Street beginning at Prince Albert Road to Slayter Street, Chappell Street, Pinehill Road, Pinecrest Drive, Crystal Drive, Farthington Place, True North Cresent, Oland Court to Thornhill Drive. HRM Construction Services staff will be monitoring the work.

The expected duration of construction is 12 weeks. Residents and businesses along the route will be provided notification by Heritage Gas.

During this work the existing traffic pattern will be reduced to one lane, stop and go traffic.

The hours of work will be Monday to Saturday from 7am to 5pm.
