Gas Installation Work Slated for Windmill Road

(Thursday, August 10/06)-- Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays on Windmill Road, from Dawson Street to Jamieson Street, in Dartmouth, beginning next week with the installation of a water main.

The project also includes asphalt resurfacing, and removal and replacement of existing concrete curb and gutter and concrete sidewalk at various locations and installation of a gas main. The work is scheduled to begin Monday, August 14 and be completed in late November.

As part of this project, the contractor will replace the existing water main on this street. Each home will be connected to a temporary water line connected to outside hose taps (or other connection if necessary). Residents may experience brief interruptions in water service, which Amber Contracting Ltd. will make every effort to minimize.

Motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution while travelling in the construction zone, and if possible, to seek an alternate travel routes.
