Sewer Installation May Cause Traffic Delays

(Friday, August 18, 2006) - Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays on Spring Garden Road, between South Park and Summer Streets, due to installation of a sewer line for the new washrooms and upgraded canteen facilities at the Halifax Public Gardens.

Traffic on this portion of Spring Garden Road may be reduced to one-traffic lane at various times.

Construction will begin tomorrow (Monday) and is expected to be completed by Thursday. Work will be carried out between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. so as not to disrupt peak travel times.

Motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution while travelling in the construction zone and, if possible, seek an alternate travel route during the construction period.
