Downtown Halifax Road Construction

(Wednesday, August 23, 2006) - Attention motorists, continued Harbour Solutions Project construction will necessitate the closure of the curb side, north bound/out bound lane of Barrington Street between the Cogswell Street off ramp to just south of Cornwallis Street.

The work is scheduled to begin on or after Thursday, August 24th with an expected duration of one week. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm, with weekends as required. The work zone will be shutdown and the lane closure reopened to full traffic flow daily by 4:00pm to assist with rush hour traffic flow exiting the downtown core.

Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow. On site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize impacts.
