Tenant Association Looking for Prize Donations

 

(Friday, September 8/06)-- Councillor Dawn Sloane has issued a public appeal for donations toward the Uniacke Square Tenants Association’s (USTA) community mobilization conference later this month.

To encourage residents of the community to participate, USTA is also hosting a Fun Day for the children and adults.

“It would be great if a few businesses, restaurants, hotels, could donate a few prizes to the fun day. We are working on a "North End Idol" contest as well, but to make the whole day a success we need prizes,” Councillor Sloane said.

The community mobilization conference will be held on Friday, September 15, and the Fun Day will be held on Saturday, September 16.
