Metro Transit offers shuttle service to Rolling Stones/Concert on the Common, Sept. 23rd

Roll with Transit to the Stones!

(Friday, September 22, 2006) - HRM urges everyone to consider taking Metro Transit to and from the Rolling Stones/Bigger Bang tour/Concert on the Common. Special services have been developed, and existing services have been enhanced, to give concert-goers transit options and decrease traffic congestion in the downtown.

- The 4 concert shuttle services will operate Saturday, September 23, beginning at 12 noon, providing 10-minute frequency service inbound until 8 p.m.
- Beginning at 10 p.m., shuttle service will reverse its routing and resume from the same concert shuttle staging areas on a ‘load & go’ basis until 1:30 a.m.
- Special shuttle fares will be $2 each way. Cash fares only will be accepted on the special shuttle routes. No regular Metro Transit passes or transfers will be accepted or issued on these shuttles.

For more information about the shuttles and other enhanced services Transit will offer on September 23rd, please all the HRM Call Centre at 490-4000, visit the web site at www.halifax.ca/metrotransit or pick up a special edition GoTimes from one of the buses or retail outlets.
